DESCRIPTION:
In 2020 we were commissioned by the Government of Djibouti Ministry of Economy and Finance and United Nations Development Program (UNDP) to lead the development of the Djibouti COVID-19 Socio-Economic Impact Assessment (SEIA) and Economic Recovery Program.
ACTIVITIES UNDERTAKEN:
Establish pre-Covid-19 baselines, dialogue across government ministries, private sector and foreign direct investors, as well as international organizations and UN leadership and development and validation of the COVID-19 SEIA. Drafting of the 18 month economic recovery program including fiscal, monetary and social measures, cabinet approval and integration into the National Development Strategy.
OUTCOME:
Cabinet endorsed and government and international community validated national impact assessment and economic recovery program.
